A Better Life



Growing up in foster homes gave Lashae Ashberry a unique perspective on parenthood. Being raised by her older sisters and becoming pregnant at 16 convinced Ashberry that she needed to provide a better life for her sons. As a young mother, 22-year old Ashberry does everything she can to provide for Brandon, 5, and Braylen, 4. “I will never let my kids grow up how I did,” Ashberry said. She has gone back to school, training to become a Medical Assistant and recently became engaged to the father of her two sons.
